The ‘hack-and-slash’ fighter making its return.
Namco Bandai has filed a trademark last week on July 11 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for Soulcalibur: Lost Swords, a potential new entry in the sword fighting franchise.
The first Soul Calibur released on the Dreamcast back in 1999. It has since received several sequels including the most recent Soul Calibur V in January last year. As well as a PSP title Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny in 2008.
Soul Calibur is a 3D fighting game from Namco Bandai. However, what sets this apart from other fighters is its focus on sword like weapons. Being that this is just a trademark, not much is known. The series tends to go in numerical order with its games, with the exception of Broken Destiny the PSP title.
Perhaps this is a Vita or 3DS title, Or it could be a new next-gen entry. What do you think it may be?
