Neverwinter is looking pretty great so far, though not getting into the beta puts a damper on my ability to give an opinion on the Dungeons & Dragons-based MMO. If you happen to be in the same boat, sit tight. The open beta is coming this month.
Neverwinter will be entering its open beta phase on April 30, with those who have purchased the game’s largest Founder’s Pack, which costs a whopping $199.99, five days of early open beta access. The exact details of this pack can be found here.
The game’s final closed beta test will be taking place between April 12 and 14, which will give players their first look at the tweaks done based on feedback from the third beta weekend, as well as the game’s profession system.
Beta Progression
As they have allowed players to continue their character progression through each closed beta and intend to allow that progression to continue into open beta, one can only assume that any progress made in Neverwinter‘s open beta will carry over into official release. Whether this is really fair or not to those not lucky enough to get into the closed beta is up for discussion, but I can’t see this being a good thing for those outside of the beta access bubble once the game finally launches.
