The story continues for the popular Call of Duty franchise. Treyarch, the team responsible for Call of Duty Black Ops 3’s Zombie mode, has released the Prologue for the new Zombies: Shadows of Evil mode on YouTube.

The prologue shows our new team’s backgrounds and personalities: corrupt officer, a dancer, a fighter, and a failed magician with deadly ambition are the newest victims of the series. Celebrity voice actors Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, and Ron Perlman are all part of this new team.

A shadowy figure narrates near the end of the video. He has observed the new characters, and takes interest in their motives. This figure is giving the challenges to the new characters, but his goals are yet unclear. He will likely act as the new level announcer, a role filled by different characters in past games.

The trailer had no new gameplay footage. The story takes place in a 1940’s Style city with a film-noir vibe. So far, no gameplay footage of the new combat movement mechanic has been released. It is unclear whether it will appear as of now. Similar mechanics are given as a power up in previous levels; it would be no surprise if it makes it into the level.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3’s release date is November 6th of this year. Pre-order now to receive free access to the Nuk3 Town DLC map.
