Gundam Versus, an upcoming fighting game based on the popular giant robot franchise, just released a new teaser video that gives us a brief look at its gameplay.
As you can see in the trailer above, the game will feature 2-on-2 battles and allows players to synchronize with their teammate and annihilate all enemies with fiery long-range gun combat and swift melee encounters. The game will also feature a variety of online and offline modes.
Players can also look forward to over 90 different Mobile Suits, with designs derived from the past 35 years of the entire Gundam franchise. Each playable Mobile Suit will come with its own weapon systems, as well as new mobility options for evading opponents.
Gundam Versus will be releasing for PlayStation 4 in Japan on July 6, 2017, with a Western release expected sometime in the Fall. A version of the game for Asia featuring English subtitles is also in the works. This will be the second non-Dynasty Warriors game to be released in Western territories since 2005’s Gundam vs Zeta Gundam, and the first mainline console Gundam title to have a Western release in over a decade.
