Earlier today, Los Angeles mobile game studio Jam City released more details about their upcoming mobile game, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. With their announcement comes the game’s first trailer, hooking viewers immediately by giving Harry Potter fans what they’ve always wanted: a welcome letter.
As the spring 2018 release of the game approaches, Jam City promises a more thorough introduction of the app at this year’s Harry Potter celebration at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Participants at the unveiling event can expect swag, gameplay, and a Q&A with the members of the game team.
For players expecting to see Harry Potter: don’t. The game’s timeline is set while Nymphadora Tonks and Bill Weasley are attending Hogwarts. Players can customize their own avatar and upgrade their skills just like any RPG game, in addition to other role-playing elements like going on quests and unlocking locations through experience.
Even more exciting, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a “choices matter” game, meaning players can form relationships with other characters in the game, and based off their decisions during certain quests and dialogues, can change the course of the game — and their character’s morality – -as a result.
To keep up with updates for the game, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and the app’s official website. And as always, stick with GameSkinny for all the latest info on Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
Good luck waiting until spring for your Hogwarts letter to arrive ….
