Production of the new Mass Effect game is full speed ahead according to collective comments and tweets made by Mass Effect developers.
Finding the Balance
Creative director Ken Thain tweeted, “New #MassEffect story and main character reviews today. This sh**’s gettin’ real! I think the fans will be really excited to play this story.”
The story will go on without our hero/heroine of the first trilogy, Commander Shepard. The Bioware team is taking great care to create a fresh environment, promising that the next game will “be friendly both to old fans and newcomers.”
There is no official information yet about the project, but Bioware developers have released character customization will still play a huge part, with openness to gender and GLBTI inclusive stories.
Risky Business
With the success of the first 3 games, there’s likely a lot of pressure on the developers to create something that pleases both new and old audiences. So much pressure, skeptics wonder if the product will come out as amazing as its predecessor. This scenario has been seen time and time again in gaming. As much pressure as there undoubtedly is, I believe in the people in Bioware and their ability to create a Mass Effect game as great as the galaxy is spacious, even the 4th time around.
How do you think the new Mass Effect will play out?
