The latest iteration of Sony’s PlayStation 4 was released this week, with a starting price of $299. The system had been rumored for a long time, and was finally announced at Sony’s PlayStation meeting. It wasn’t really news, however, as the existence of the “PS4 Slim” had been leaked earlier.
So far you can only get the system in a bundle via Sony’s website. As part of the deal, players get Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for free. The remodeled console isn’t a special edition, but it is the only one that comes with the latest controller — one that can use wired connection and a light bar on its touchpad.
More information on what you get when you buy the newer, slimmer model is available in this post on everything you need to know about the PS4 “Slim.”.
Are you getting the remodeled PS4 as your first foray into Sony’s console? Or perhaps waiting for the PS4 Pro, which will release November 10, 2016, starting at $399? Let us know in the comments section below, and as always, thanks for reading.
