It wasn’t too long ago that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 received an update to its multiplayer, but already, a new free update is on its way to the remastered skateboarding collection. As confirmed on Activision’s website, this update is live across all platforms, and it includes Activision’s newest mascot.

Crash Bandicoot themed cosmetic items come with the update, tying in with the recent release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, letting you kit out custom skaters with new clothing items.

More significantly, it introduces changes to the Tours system, adding a new option called Solo Tours, which lets you play Pro Skater 1+2 Tours with every available character. Before the update, you could only collect SKATE letters and find hidden tapes within a single playthrough, but now, you can choose additional skaters, which resets the available tasks.

A few smaller aspects are also included in the update, such as the “Birdman Pack,” which brings in 10 new decks. It’s only available for a limited time, but Activision has confirmed that profits from the pack will be put towards the Skatepark Project. One hundred new challenges have also been added, making this quite the hefty update all around.

We thought quite highly of the remake package when it first dropped back in September, so it’s pleasing to see Activision and Vicarious Visions giving it continued support. Further updates seem likely to follow, so stay tuned to GameSkinny as it happens.
