Watchdogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag are two of the biggest titles by Ubisoft, releasing this year for both the current gen as well as the next gen.
Recently, Ubisoft revealed that the pre-order numbers for Watchdogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag are higher for the next generation of consoles than those for the current generation.
In an interview, European chief Alan Corre said that the transition to the next generation of consoles is going to be faster than most expect. He said,
“The fans are really excited to get their hands on the new technology. It has been eight years without a home console from Sony or Microsoft so we feel a lot of excitement from our fans for Watch Dogs or Assassin’s Creed IV. The pre-orders we are getting are much bigger on our next-gen games.
So we feel that the transition might be quicker. There is a real appetite for change.”
He also expects Watchdogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to be well accepted and to be in the top games for pre-order for the next-gen.
In addition to Xbox One and PS4, Watchdogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be launched on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U.
