Pokemon GO‘s November events calendar is getting pretty full. First there was — and still is — the Looming in the Shadows Special Research mission set, tasking players with finding and defeating Team GO Rocket’s Leaders. Now, Niantic is adding a couple more events to keep players busy through the end of the month.
Pokemon GO Supereffective Week
First up is Supereffective Week. You’re not guaranteed supereffective moves at all times during the event. Instead, it’s focused around Looming in the Shadows and will see an increase in Pokemon with moves and types that are supereffective against Team GO Rocket. Specifically, Fairy and Bug types.
These will be appearing in the wild, in raids, and in Field Research, from November 19 at 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST until November 26 at the same time.
There will also be an increased chance of running into shiny Tentacool, who will hopefully evolve into a shinier example of Pokemon-hood than its Alolan counterpart.
Of course, the special event will bring bonus rewards, as well. Here’s what you’ll be getting:
- 2× Stardust from Trainer Battles
- More Potions and Revives from PokéStops
- Guaranteed Charged TM from three-star raids
Terrakion in Pokemon GO
The legendary Pokemon Terrakion, of Unova fame in Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2, is at last making its debut in Pokemon GO. You’ll have a chance of encountering the Ground-and-Fighting Type in five-star raids from November 26 at 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST until December 17 at the same time.
Pokemon GO Friend Fest
Finally, Niantic is including a seasonal event called Friend Fest. It celebrates friends and family by giving you an increased chance to encounter family-themed Pokemon like the Nidoran male and female lines, among others, both in the wild and in Field Research.
Bonuses abound during Friend Fest as well:
- 1/2 Stardust trade cost
- You can make two special trades per day
- Attack boost when you raid with friends
Pokemon GO‘s Friend Fest starts November 27 at 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST and runs through December 2 at the same time.
The full announcement has a bunch more details, too, so be sure to check it out. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Pokemon GO news and updates as they roll out.
