Nintendo Announces May Animal Crossing Updates

The next round of Animal Crossing updates adds some familiar features and a couple new items.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 might still be on the, well… horizon, but there’s a new Animal Crossing update coming for May anyway. Some are returning events, though Nintendo is promising a new twist on these, in keeping with an earlier promise from 2020.

May Day (April 29 – May 7)

May Day is back again, giving you a May Day ticket for travel to an event-exclusive Nook Miles Island. There’s a maze, some prizes, and a furry familiar face. There’s also our May Day guide if you don’t feel like puzzling your way through on your own.

International Museum Day (May 18 – May 31)

International Museum Day is also back, with Blathers’ museum rally and stamp collecting in tact.

Wedding Season (June 1 – June 30)

Wedding Season survives in tact as well with special furniture and fashion available to decorate your ideal wedding scene in Photopia or anywhere on the island.

New Seasonal Items

One new addition in the Animal Crossing update is cheese. Not for eating, mind you, but to celebrate Cheese Rolling. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day items will also be available at the relevant times.
