Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5‘s PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will not feature online multiplayer, however the feature will be present in the Xbox One and PS4 versions. The online multiplayer will provide players the option to challenge players both national and international, participation in online skate sessions, completing game missions and create and share custom built skate parks.

There has been no news regarding why last gen versions won’t have online features. The release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 marks 13 years since the last game in the series came out which was Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 back in 2002. Characters from past games will return alongside new characters Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk (Tony Hawk’s son), Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will be released for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 later on this year.
