No Win Button in Bioshock Infinite for Elizabeth

Elizabeth is Booker in a dress? Not if Irrational Games has their way!
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Irrational Games has made it clear that they don’t want Elizabeth’s abilities to just give her a “win button in the upcoming Bioshock Infinite downloadable content campaign.” Irrational Games wants to make sure the campaign for Elizabeth doesn’t feel like playing as Booker in a dress, but now that they’ve made the comment, who doesn’t want to see it?

On a more serious note though, as you play Elizabeth, the developers want you to think outside the box instead of the “kill them dead” approach. Elizabeth has the ability to manipulate tears in the space-time continuum. Up to this point Elizabeth has been the omnipotent supporting character, I can only imagine how hard it will be to balance her skills so that she isn’t overpowered. I can’t think of a way to limit an ability that, up to this point, has been limitless in such a way that the game has real playability and not just feel like an interactive movie.

I’ll be watching with interest to see if Irrational Games can pull off the balance needed to please the players. Leave comments below with your thoughts on how they should balance Elizabeth.
