One of the best indie games showcased last year at Eurogamer Expo, Octodad: Dadliest Catch, releases today on PC, Mac, and Linux. It is the sequel to freeware game Octodad! which released back in 2010 by a group of university students who eventually formed Young Horses Inc. The bulk of the game revolves around controlling Octodad through various places doing traditionally mundane tasks like mowing or chopping up wood. However, the mechanics prove both difficult and challenging, providing some hilarious moments throughout the story.
Here is the official trailer to get a sense of what this game is about.
Having already beaten the game, I can safely say that this game is very fun and well worth the asking price. Although the campaign mode is too short in my opinion, it is still a blast to play. I will have my full, official review for you very soon.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is out now to PC, MAC, and Linux systems and is available January 31st for the PlayStation 4!
