How to get into the Overwatch beta:
Opt-in on battle.net! Go to your beta preferences and make sure Overwatch is selected. That’s it, all you need to do. Hell, here’s a link to the beta page if you’re feeling lazy.
But that’s not all folks!
According to the blog post, Twitch streamers Haylinic and Ellohime will be streaming live footage of Overwatch for 90 minutes on the 15th. This will offer players interested in the beta the first ever unedited real-time footage of the game from two different perspectives. As such, we will finally be able to get some sort of picture of what to expect from Blizzard’s upcoming game without doctored footage that just makes the game look better than it might be.
The Haylinic and Ellohime live stream details are as follows:
- The live streams will take place on Thursday, October 15th at 10:00 a.m. PT (that’s 1:00 p.m. ET for eastern time fans)
- Haylinic’s stream can be found here
- Ellohime’s stream will be playing simultaneously here
Anyone who has followed my articles on Overwatch knows why I’m excited to hear that the beta is nearing release. The game looks promising, and I will be sure to update readers on GameSkinny of the ups and downs of the game if I can get into the beta so stay tuned!
