PAX East 2014 badges are sold out, but you may still be able to get one at the door.

PAX East 2014 just sold out of all badges this morning, according to a tweet by the event organizers.

PAX East 2014 takes place from April 11-13, 2014, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The official FAQ for Pax East 2014 states that they cannot print any more badges because of fire code and safety regulations.

Of course, badges will be sold at the door by scalpers, so there is still a chance that you can get in if you missed out.

You will need to be careful if you go this route, as you can end up with a fake badge. PAX enforcers have started setting up near the entrance to check the authenticity of badges, so be sure to take the badge to them before giving anyone your cash. They’ll shine a little blue light over a certain part of the badge to check for things like laminated paper.

This will be the fourth PAX in Boston since it was expanded from Seattle’s PAX Prime in 2010. No details about the speakers, panels, or games have been given yet.

I am glad they decided to send people to check the authenticity of badges at the door. Do you think that is a good idea, or is there some other way they can deal with it? Let me know in the comments.
