Playstation Horror Sale Introduces Resident Evil, The Walking Dead

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has been selling discounted games for the Playstation throughout the month. All of the games are horror titles, meant to frighten for Halloween.

The PlayStation Network is rolling out an impressive array of video game, movie, and TV price drops with the “Sale of the Dead.” This will run until November 4th. Today, though, they added a number of zombie-themed games to the list of titles they will be discounting. 

Zombies have been used extensively in popular culture since the wild success of the film Night of the Living Dead in 1968. Since then we’ve seen walking corpses everywhere. Of course zombies lend themselves mostly to horror and shooter games, but Plants vs Zombies showed the world that brain-eaters can be good in other genres as well. Now everything from tower defence and casual to racing and role-playing games are occasionally including zombies.
