After a two month delay, Pokémon Bank is available for North American players at last. Players have access to almost any Pokémon ever created, and Hidden Abilities that were previously unavailable in the current generation.

The Pokémon Bank app costs five dollars a year, but the first 30 days is free. You must also download the accompanying app, Poké Transporter, to transfer Pokémon from the previous games to Pokémon Bank.

The 3DS must have either Pokémon Black or White, or Pokémon Black 2 or White 2, to use the Poké Transporter. Pokémon Bank requires either Pokémon X or Y.

Pokémon Bank lets players store up to 3,000 Pokémon. You can also transfer Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y to Pokémon Bank. Also, for a limited time, players receive a free Celebi Pokémon after accessing the Pokémon Bank for the first time. Once players access Pokémon Bank for the first time, they will receive Celebi the next time they open the app.

If you haven’t already, be sure to download the new apps. It is also important to note that if players do not renew the membership, any Pokémon in the Pokémon Bank will be lost. Don’t let your hard-earned Pokémon be lost forever!
