Today, The Pokemon Company quietly launched a new game called Pokemon Duel on the App Store and Google Play.

The game revolves around building a deck of 6 different Pokemon figurines and dueling with an opponent. The goal of the game is to get one of your figures across the board to your opponent’s goal before they do. Each figure has different moves and abilities, so building your deck will take some strategy.

In a match, you have a small game board that you are trying to get your Pokemon across in order to reach your opponent’s goal. Your opponent is also placing figures to try and stop you from reaching their goal. If while moving your figures you come to one of your opponent’s figures, the two figures will duel.

In a duel, you and your opponent spin a wheel. On the wheel are different attacks with different powers, a miss space, and different colored attacks that have different effects. Who ever spins better wins the duel. You keep progressing across the board until you reach your opponent’s goal or they reach your goal. Whoever reaches the goal first, wins.

The game uses Pokemon from all of the generations of games so choosing your favorite Pokemon from all the games is going to be possible.

Pokemon Duel is free to play with in-app purchases available for the game’s premium currency of gems. You can get the game on the Apple App Store and the Google Play store.
