With the announcement of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, exclusive to the 3DS and 2DS, fans have scoured news sources for more details. Nintendo has kept the details under wraps, but there is a lot of rampant fan speculation, from new Pokémon and new regions, to hidden symbols in previously released games.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are scheduled to be released worldwide in November 2014.
These new Pokémon games are supposed to appeal to veteran and new players alike. Though Nintendo has a few more games scheduled to be released this year including some beloved series’ like Super Smash Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog, the hype around the newest Pokémon titles prove that the franchise hasn’t been bled completely dry.
Looking at Nintendo’s numbers, the release of these Pokémon games later this year should give a healthy boost to their sales.
Are some people getting tired of having to add more Pokémon to their Pokédex? Yes. But that won’t stop these games from being a major part of this 2014 holiday season.
