According to recent analytics by Similar Web, Pokemon Go has the same rate of active users as Twitter.
The app was downloaded by around 5% of Android users in America by July 8th, only two days after its release. But installs are not the only area where Pokemon Go is succeeding — it’s also impressive in app engagement, which is basically the amount of time players are spending in the game.
Currently, over 60% of people who have downloaded and installed the app are using it every day, which means that around 3% of all American Android owners are regular users of the application. Purely in terms of daily active users, Pokemon Go is almost on par with Twitter. And when Pokemon Go is finally released worldwide, it’s likely to grow even more.
According to the analytics, Pokemon Go is also consuming a lot of people’s time, with users spending around 43 minutes in the game. This is more time than what’s spent in applications like Whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat, and Messenger.
Apparently, Pokemon Go‘s popularity has helped Nintendo’s stocks improve by 20% — this means they’ve had their best one-day move since 1983.
