When selecting one’s team on Pokemon Go, all players have been greeted with so far is a short statement, legendary bird mascot, and silhouette of the team’s supposed leader. Well, these leaders are mere silhouettes no longer; today, Niantic CEO John Hanke revealed the full images of the leaders of Teams Mystic, Valor, and Instinct at the company’s panel at Comic-Con International.
No further information on the leaders was revealed. (And I, for one, am still unsure about Blanche’s gender, though I guess it doesn’t matter since she/he/they is still the best #GoTeamMystic)
Hanke also revealed that the company is considering adding a breeding component to the game, though this feature has not yet been developed or even approved. Additionally, he answered player concerns about gym “poaching,” where a new player takes over a gym right after a different player defeats it. The company are looking into player complaints, and hope to find a solution to this issue.
Pokemon Go was released in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States at the beginning of the month, and has since become a worldwide phenomenon with availability expanding to include Canada, Japan, and most of Europe.
