The last chunk of Pokemon information revealed by an eager Japanese Twitter user has been officially confirmed on the North American Pokemon X and Y website. The new region and Pokemon have their English names, and a new trailer shows these new Pokemon in action.
The new region is officially named Kalos, which was previously reported as being Karosu in the Japanese version of the game. The region’s central city, which we knew as Miare just a few days ago, is now known as Lumiose City. The official site has a few images of these areas, though they are not large enough to systematically analyze just yet.
The four new Pokemon revealed in CoroCoro the other day now have official English names as well:
Helioptile (Electric/Normal)
Fletchling (Normal/Flying)
Pancham (Fighting)
Gogoat (Grass)
The character customization options mentioned in CoroCoro have yet to be confirmed to be the same; but considering the mirrored information we’re getting on both sides of the Pacific, it shouldn’t be long until many of the other Pokemon X/Y reveals found in the magazine see official announcements in the West.
