When EA announced yesterday that Halloween costumes would be available immediately as free DLC, they also gave some information on future free DLCs that longtime Sims fans should have happy to see. In November, pools will finally make their début in Sims 4.
You may remember the controversy surrounding the announcement earlier this year that major features of past games would be cut from the game. The more pessimistic among the Sims fanbase (including me) always believed these features would come back as DLC, but it’s good to see EA have the sense not to charge for what were core features of previous games.
There isn’t any word yet about things such as toddlers or terrain tools being added back to the game, but at least we can watch our Sims drown just as God intended. Personally, I’ll be waiting for when they patch out those loading screens when you move between lots. After playing Sims 3 for so long, I just don’t think I can go back to that.
