Developer Futurlab has announced the 2023 content roadmap for its hit game Powerwash Simulator. The roadmap plan contains both paid and free DLC. The first new update will be launching on April 18, 2023, and it will bring three new missions to the main story in what the team is calling the “Muckingham Files.”
Throughout 2023, Powerwash Simulator will expand on the Muckingham Files with free DLC that takes you to various locations around the town of Muckingham. I didn’t realize that was the name of this game’s fictional setting, but it seems Futurlab is using the unexpected popularity of its games to expand the game’s lore. (I mean, we’ve already been to Mars, after all).
Hop in the van. We’re going on a road trip! 🗺️ Here’s what’s coming in 2023 – we can’t wait to reveal more!💦 pic.twitter.com/wx45O4TDze

The first part of this new story will take you back to the Mauka Aitu Desert, where you’ll clean a Solar Water Plant and a gigantic Sattelite Dish. After those two tasks, you’ll head to the Muckingham recreation ground and spray down a filthy food truck. In addition to those new jobs, the pre-existing bonus jobs will have new story elements added to them that connect them back to the main story.
While this update doesn’t expand on what the paid DLC will be, Futurlab has announced that Powerwash Simulator will be getting a physical release for consoles this summer.
Available for Xbox One (with Smart Delivery), PS4, PS5, and Switch (which is, sadly, a download code), you’ll be able to have a box for your collection that will eventually gather dust and need its own power-washing. These physical editions will release on June 13, 2023.
Powerwash Simulator is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. The DLC will release throughout 2023 and finish this winter.
