There need to be more dinosaur video games, you say? Video games with dinosaurs? Dino games?
Primal Carnage released last year, staking its claim as one of the best-rated dinosaur-based games in history. For a title developed by a small team, the gameplay packed a big bite. Primal Carnage: Genesis will be taking the series in a different direction with episodic storytelling and the use of Unreal Engine 4.
I realize I’m two days late on this (real life happens, man), but my excitement for Primal Carnage: Genesis is through the roof.
Instead of the team-based FPS/third-person dinosaur gameplay toted in the original title, Genesis will be purely from a human perspective. The PlayStation Blog states, the title will feature a mix of open-world exploration and linear gameplay to tell a story.
It just sounds and looks so cool.
The trailer above looks great, as the game is one of the first Unreal Engine 4 reveals. According to Joystiq, Lukewarm Media are aiming for Primal Carnage: Genesis to be released as a launch title for the PlayStation 4. The PC version of Genesis will be seeing a release a few months after its PS4 release.
