It’s almost March, and that means it’s time for another round of free PlayStation Plus games. This month, PS Plus members get Shadow of the Colossus and Sonic Forces for free, along with a surprise trial for the upcoming Predator: Hunting Grounds at the end of the month.

March’s free PS Plus games are available starting March 3 and will stay available until April 6. Here’s a brief overview of what you can expect.

Shadow of the Colossus

In Team Ico’s Shadow of the Colossus, you play as a young man desperately trying to save the life of a loved one, and the only way he can do this is by destroying the colossi that wander the world. We don’t really know why, but that isn’t the point in this remake of a PlayStation 2 classic.

It’s one of the most unique experiences available in gaming, which is why we said in our review, “There still isn’t a game out there that can match its dreary atmosphere, simple but effective storytelling, and outstanding boss fights.”

Sonic Forces

And then we have Sonic Forces. Billed as a reboot for the modern Sonic series, it ultimately fell short of recapturing the Blue Blur’s former glory. It looks good, but the overall level design just doesn’t stack up to the likes of Sonic Mania. Or most of the other Sonic games, for that matter, hence our reviewer’s concluding thoughts that “it never manages to reach the quality of the franchise’s heights.”

Still, it’s free, and that’s a very good price to try it out at if you’re interested.

Predator: Hunting Grounds

From Friday March 27 at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST until Sunday March 29 at 11:59 p.m. PST, PS Plus subscribers get access to a special trial weekend for Predator: Hunting Grounds. You’ll team up with others and complete missions before the Predator tracks you down, or you can be the Predator doing the tracking in this multiplayer survival experience.

Whatever you choose, you can enjoy full cross-play support with PC. It goes without saying, but you’ll need an active PS Plus subscription for this.

Since the March PS Plus offerings don’t go live until March 3, you’ve still got time to check out February’s awesome offerings too. If none of this catches your interest, don’t forget the PlayStation Store Big in Japan sale is still ongoing until March 6 as well.
