For those of you who make frequent use of services provided by PS+ (Playstation Plus) on your PS3, PS4, or Playstation Vita be prepared to shell out a little extra from your wallet. Starting on September 22, 2016 the prices for PS+ memberships are being changed, and increased slightly from the current price point.
According to an official Playstation Blog post, a twelve-month membership will now cost $59.99 USD/$69.99 CAD, and a three-month membership will increase slightly to $24.99 USD/29.99 CAD. The month-to-month plan will change to $11.99 CAD but remain at $9.99 USD.
This new change in pricing will be the service’s first ever price increase since launch in 2010. If you are a current member of PS+, the price changes will take effect if your membership renews on or after September 22. The blog post also states that if you do not with to continue your membership after the new price increase, to cancel your membership by turning off auto-renewal settings before September 22.
