Double Fine is on a roll with its latest crowdfunding campaign for the long awaited Psychonauts 2. The project — currently being run through the crowdfunding site Fig — has already raised up to $1 million since it launched!
The company is aiming to raise $3.3 million with this project. However, they will only get the money from Fig if that goal is reached. The funding drive will run until January 7, leaving plenty of time for the remaining amount to be raised.
The game itself is estimated to need around $10 million to complete. Double Fine intends to pay a majority of the cost themselves and will be getting some financial help from an unnamed partner.
Double Fine hopes to be able to release Psychonauts 2 sometime during 2018, and has plans to make it available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
At this rate, it is only a matter of time before we see a Psychonauts 2.
