Developer Remedy Entertainment announced last week that its former Xbox One exclusive would be heading to PC as well. A console bundle was also revealed earlier in the year. Confirmed on the Major Nelson Podcast, Quantum Break will launch on both platforms on April 5.
Some more surprising details were revealed by Xbox Games head of marketing, Aaron Greenberg. Although the game would launch on PC, it would be sold exclusively on the Windows Store. This means that Quantum Break will not be available on steam. Those that pre-order the digital version of Quantum Break on Xbox One will also receive the PC version. Unfortunately, Cross-Save functionality will not be supported.
Quantum Break is a third person shooter that will have a live action TV series running parallel to the game. Players can use a variety of firearms, as well as time manipulation powers to defeat enemies. Developed by Remedy Entertainment, the same people that brought us the Noire-inspired Max Payne and Alan Wake.
What do you think of this latest news? Will it convince you to digital pre-order instead of picking up Quantum Break in stores? Let us know in the comments below!
