Ratchet and Clank the movie, based on the game from 2002, was originally released in theaters on April 29th, with… disappointing results. It earned a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes, and grossed only $12.1 million on a $20 million budget which made it a box office bomb. Critic consensus for the film was that it “may satisfy very young viewers, but compared to the many superior options available to families and animation enthusiasts, it offers little to truly recommend.

Alternatively, a Ratchet and Clank game based on the movie was released on April 12th, two weeks prior to the film’s release, receiving positive reviews from critics, currently holding an 85 on Metacritic.
