Remnant 2, the sequel to the FPS survival game Remnant: From the Ashes, finally has a confirmed release date. The game picks up decades after the events of Remnant: From the Ashes. Still fighting against the Root, the success found earlier only extended the clock on humanity. Once again looking to put an end to their foe, you’ll head out solo or with friends as one of the new Archetypes. Here’s what we know about the release date and editions.
Remnant 2 Release Date and Editions
Remnant 2‘s release date is July 25, 2023, with an Early Access period starting on July 21, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. EST for those who have purchased the Ultimate Edition.
The Summer Game Fest trailer for the game focused on co-op play and how the Archetypes work off one another toward victory. With new bosses, new worlds to explore, and new battle mechanics, Remnant 2 is ready to end the fight for good. We also learned more about Ward 13 and its role in the story.
Remnant 2 Editions Explained: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate
There are three editions Remnant 2 you can purchase, each with its own perks and bonuses. For those looking to get the most bang for their buck — and three additional DLC packs and Early Access — the Ultimate Edition is the pick. Here’s what they include, as well as their prices:
- Standard Edition
- Price: $49.99
- What it includes: The full game — and that’s it.
- Deluxe Edition:
- Price: $59.99
- What it includes: The full game and the Elder, Void, and Radiant armor sets from Remnant: From the Ashes.
- Ultimate Edition:
- Price: $69.99
- What it includes: All Deluxe Edition content, Early Access starting on July 21, Survival Pack, and three DLC packs (to be announced)
Along with the various editions, if you preorder, you’ll be able to get to play the Gunslinger Archetype during Early Access.
