Rumors and speculation continue to shroud the nebulous Nintendo NX console, but here’s a tasty morsel that slipped through the cracks: a third-party game announcement! While developer VD-dev games has confirmed Rise: Race the Future is a multi-platform racer, its confirmation on NX has rendered it the first confirmed third-party title for the upcoming system.
Little information has been revealed regarding Rise itself, but as seen in the below included teaser (and the name!), it’s a futuristic racer of sorts. For designing the vehicles, the dev studio turned to collaborating with famed automotive designer Anthony Jannarelly, known for the supercars of W Motors and his co-funding of Jannarelly Automotive.
Rise is slated for a December 2016 release, but as the NX won’t launch until next year, we’ll be introduced to it via the likes of PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, Steam, Google Play, and the iTunes App Store. How it’ll differ on all these platforms, let alone the NX, remains a mystery.
