Many people are stunned by the sudden death of Robin Williams. He’s contributed positively to many lives and helped craft many happy childhood memories. He was also a big fan of video games! So, Blizzard has teased that, in an effort to honor the late comedian, Robin Williams will be getting his own World of Warcraft NPC.
So why not have him in one?
Aside from being one of the funniest guys on the planet, Robin Williams was a fellow gamer and big fan of video games in general. In fact, he played many video games like Legend of Zelda (which he named his daughter after and starred in a promotional commercial with her), Portal, Call of Duty and World of Warcraft. That’s why a petition was recently set up to get Blizzard to allow a non-playable character (NPC) tribute for Robin Williams in WoW, according to Kotaku.com. According to Change.org, the petition has almost 11,000 signatures, yet it has already been dubbed a “victory”. The goal number of signatures to reach was not listed on the petition site, but the idea that Blizzard is open to the NPC is a nice gesture to his memory at the very least. It appears as though Blizzard will be adding a Robin Williams NPC in WoW, at least if the following tweet is anything to go by.
.@robinwilliams Thank you. You gave us so much joy in our lives, and we hope you enjoyed your time in our world. We’ll see you in-game.

We’ll see what Blizzard ends up doing to honor the late comedic actor. It will surely be something to see as it will help keep his memory alive.
