Nintendo has announced that popular sports game Rocket League will be released for the Nintendo Switch on November 14th. Though Nintendo’s announcement doesn’t mention an amount, Rocket League‘s official website released an article on October 30th saying the game would be priced at “$19.99 USD or regional equivalent.”
Rocket League, originally released in 2015 for Microsoft and PlayStation, has since expanded to most playable consoles with its rising popularity. Supposedly it’s a sequel to Psyonix’s 2008 sports-and-cars game Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, though admittedly SARP Battle Cars was less popular than its successor, with Rocket League having over 150 awards and nominees under its belt for “Best of 2015” games.
With its ports now joining the Switch, Rocket League fans can expect the same content and features from the other consoles, along with the ability to join players online from Xbox One or PC. Exclusive to the Switch, however, are the “customization items” featuring popular Nintendo staples from Mario, Luigi, and Samus as vehicle accessories.
So get ready to get wrecking on Rocket League for the Switch this November 14th for $19.99.
