Rocket League developer, Psyonix has announced that more free content will be heading for the popular car football game this October. The free October update, dubbed AquaDome, will send Rocket League packing for the ocean as the game is set to receive a new underwater themed arena, along with two brand new aquatic themed cars.
The AquaDome is the first standard arena that has been released since the Utopia Coliseum in August 2015, and is said to be inspired by the seven seas and the creatures that we find beneath the waves. The transparent glass dome is surrounded by bright corals and is teeming with aquatic life such as jellyfish, great white sharks and an array of different fish. The AquaDome arena can be found in all Rocket League playlists, including both casual and competitive.
Alongside the release of the AquaDome arena, two brand new premium DLC battle cars will be available at the updates launch. The two cars, Triton, a futuristic ocean sub, and Proteus, a scientific research vessel, will be available individually for $1.99 each.
While there is no official release date for the AquaDome update, Psyonix has promised that more information will be released as we get closer. If you haven’t yet, check out the official AquaDome trailer below:
