RoosterTeeth at PAX Prime

RoosterTeeth made a pretty funny show of their PAX Prime panel, but unfortunately stream viewers missed out on a lot of the fun.

Gaming icons, RoosterTeeth, have a panel at PAX every year showcasing some of the stuff they are working on, and in general just to get out there and see the community. This year was no different, though the turnout of RoosterTeeth fans was quite large this time. The turnout included many of the well-known team members: Gus Sorola, Jack Patillo, Ray Narvaez Jr., Gavin Free, Barbara Dunkelman, Monty Oum, and Burnie Burns.

As comedians, the RoosterTeeth guys led off with a video about Burnie pranking Gus. Unfortunately, all of the videos on the panel were blocked from the stream, so those of us that weren’t there, myself included, couldn’t see any of them.

They followed by talking a bit about RWBY production and production in general. Monty said RWBY production was “going well” but remained otherwise tight-lipped. Burnie followed by stating that on almost every video, work doesn’t stop until after that video has already been released, and the team will work up until the video has to go out to make it as good as they can.

They followed up with a community Q&A. Many of those questions were community related, mostly people asking if they would be attending other events at PAX or asking them to sign stuff. They poked a bit of fun at Jack, who had been pranked at the last PAX when one of the other RoosterTeeth members gave out his phone number to the public. One notable question asked Monty about his older series, Dead Fantasy. He both said that he wasn’t actively working on it, but hadn’t given up on it, and avoided the question as best he could.

After this, they went on to show the latest two episodes of Red vs. Blue and RWBY. As a stream viewer, these two videos were both blocked, so while I didn’t actually get to see them, the crowd seemed very pleased by them (especially RWBY), so I have high hopes for when they release on Monday and Thursday respectively.

Since they finished with a video, Twitch left the stream down so stream viewers couldn’t see the closing of the panel.

Did you guys enjoy their panel? Were you disappointed that so much of it was blocked video? Sound off in the comments, and be sure to stay tuned to Gameskinny for more from PAX!
