Although Saints Row IV has yet to be released, word on the first DLC was spilled during a voice-acting panel at Comic-Con. The panel featured Steve Jaros, studio head at Deep Silver Volition, Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, J.B. Blanc, and Yuri Lowenthal. According to the panel, the DLC is named after a cancelled Saints Row III expansion pack, Enter the Dominatrix.
Jaros also stated that the DLC will feature a strange meta-narrative. There will be behind-the-scenes narration and footage with various characters explaining why the content was originally cut.
As far as other content goes, Saints Row III’s pro-wrestling minigame will not be returning to IV. Also not returning is the zombie voice option. This has been replaced with a “Nolan North” voice option – a joke only funny once, Jaros stated. Jaros also said there will be one radio station hosted by the alien overlord Zinyak who will be reading the first chapter of Pride and Prejudice.
And as a final note, it was also announced that Saints Row IV was to end with a Bollywood-esque song and dance routine, but that idea was dismissed.
Saints Row IV will be released on the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 this August.
