Just this morning, Indie Game developer Joint Custody announced and released a preview teaser trailer for an upcoming supernatural adventure game titled Sceal.
Players will be taking on the role of a lost spirit girl who must search and unlock the mysteries of her past. After you take a look at the attached video, you will see that this game is based around beautiful and distinctive watercolor painted worlds, which are designed to look like an animated picture book. As you progress through each location, buildings and the general environment move around — sort of like a pop up book in the form of a video game!
Throughout your journey as a spirit, you will be able to complete quests by painting buildings and objects to progress the story line. There is no news on whether or not you can paint them any color you want, though.
Joint Custody worked with renowned Irish folk singers Lorcan Mac Mathuna and Aislinn Duffy to give the game its haunting atmosphere and soundtrack, which will be released on Steam as well for you to purchase on the official launch day. If you don’t have Steam, you will have the option to purchase this title on Android and tablet devices as a premium title.
The official launch day has not been announced yet, but if you would like to follow any updates that come out, please follow me here on Gameskinny or check out Sceal’s official website and Twitter page. I highly recommend checking out the official website page to get a sneak peek at some of the tracks that will be incorporated into this title.
