FPS legend Serious Sam makes a return this summer in Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour, a top-down action shooter that will be available on Windows, Linux, and Steam OS. The game is being made by the developers of Hammerwatch, Crackshell and Croteam, who are also the creators of the Serious Sam franchise.
What is Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour?
Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour is a top-down action game where players will take on the role of Sam “Serious” Stone as they battle through Mediterranean locals, biological weapon labs, and much more.
The campaign can be played solo or via online co-op with two to four players, and it will feature an experience and level-up system. There will also be versus and survival modes, allowing up to 12 players duking it out simultaneously. The game will also release with a game editor, which will let players make their own mods.
Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour will be the 13th Serious Sam title, not including re-releases, and it will be the 7th indie title in the franchise. It is being published by Devolver Digital and will release sometime this summer, although there has been no firm release date announced.
