Shin Megami Tensei 5 Release Date Announced at E3 2021

Shin Megami Tensei 5 releases this fall, and we've got a lengthy new E3 2021 trailer to accompany the news.

Following an earlier leak, Nintendo confirmed that the Shin Megami Tensei 5 release date is November 11. Shin Megami Tensei 5 pre-orders will open on June 21.

Unlike previous games where you see the world die or change, Shin Megami Tensei 5 takes place in an alternate dimension. One day, an average high school student suddenly gets transported to a ruined world where demons and angels roam the devastated highways and plains.

Once there, you fuse with a mysterious being and gain the power to speak and fight with demons. The Shin Megami Tensei 5 plot is still wrapped in mystery, though the usual SMT things still apply.

You’ll command demons in battle, negotiate for survival and new partners, and use the Press-Turn system to your advantage by targeting weaknesses.

The world also seems the most varied it’s been so far, where the usual urban areas blend with deserts and snowfields, among other environments.

Atlus hasn’t announced any Shin Megami Tensei 5 special editions yet, but we expect that will change closer to pre-orders opening on June 21.
