United Front Games has announced today, via their website, that its next game, Triad Wars, will be apart of the Sleeping Dogs universe. If you don’t remember Sleeping Dogs, and you should, it was the open-world action game released in 2012. The developers are really excited to keep the story going.

“It’s something we’ve wanted to do for ages, and we’re very happy to be working with Square Enix again, but that’s all we can give you for the time being – we’ll have more information about what the game’s going to be in 2014,” says United Front Games.

Wait, nothing more until 2014? Way to bait the audience UFG! We haven’t heard anything from Square Enix yet, but UFG seems very enthusiastic about working with them again and we can only take their word on it.

Sleeping Dogs was taken very well by critics and players alike and we can only imagine where Triad Wars will take the story. With the team back together, hopefully we will get another great game.

Are you guys excited for Triad Wars? What are you hoping to see?
