Sonic Colors Ultimate is an enhanced version of the original and adds an all-new mode.

Sega announced Sonic Colors Ultimate during the Sonic 30th Anniversary event and debuted a new Sonic Colors Ultimate trailer during E3 2021. Colors Ultimate releases September 7 for PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

It features enhanced visuals, the new Rival Rush mode, backwards compatibility with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and several other improvements over the 2010 original, including “refined controls.”

Sonic Colors Ultimate follows Sonic through Dr. Eggman’s nefarious theme park. The Blue Blur encounters mysterious entities called Wisps that grant him superpowers, such as passing through walls and charging up attacks.

Sonic Colors Ultimate will come in several versions, including:
