It is the day of release for South Park: The Stick of Truth by Ubisoft and Obsidian Entertainment. With midnight releases in play, Twitter has buzzed with gamers all over getting into game and sharing first impressions. Some have even been live-streaming their game play.
So far, based off Twitter feeds, The Stick of Truth is awesome. Several f-bombs have accompanied the tweets on gameplay (in good ways). Since there was a review embargo in place, the initial review that was constantly linked up is IGN’s review by Ryan McCaffrey, though several tweeters are promising reviews in the next few hours.
Good lord, South Park: The Stick of Truth is amazing. Said it could be the best licensed game of all time. After 1.5 hrs it’s looking good.

With South Park available on Windows and older generations of Xbox and PlayStation (the 360 and 3, respectively), initial sales numbers are uncertain. While some who have upgraded to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 may have kept their older consoles, it is possible that several did not and thus far, are unable to play the game on a console. They either have to play on PC or not play at all.

South Park: The Stick of Truth seems to be a winner for both Ubisoft and Obsidian Entertainment this year. There are some tweeters already proclaiming it game of the year. It will be interesting to see what the user reviews will reveal over the coming days.
Will you be picking up The Stick?
