The Avengers Project is currently being designed for gamers around the world and will feature all locations, characters, and exemplary events that have excited fans of Marvel and The Avengers alike. The game will be an original story for fans and will “introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come.”
The game is being created and lead by Crystal Dynamics (developer of the Tomb Raider series) and Eidos Montreal (developer of Deus Ex). These companies are also leading development for future titles on a new franchise of The Avengers games.
There are a number of theories as to what the genre of this game might be — with most seeming to lean toward the possibility of an action-adventure game with RPG elements thrown in. We don’t know yet if if the game will have sequels or spin-offs with branching characters within the Marvel Universe.
More details on The Avengers Project and other titles will be announced in 2018.
