Square Enix has just been gaining all sorts of momentum at this year’s E3. On top of receiving some uproarious applause when they revealed their teaser trailers for FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 during Sony’s Press Conference a few nights ago, the company has also been hard at work promoting it’s most immediate new release, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

After lifting the curtain on their beautiful trailer for the forthcoming title, Square Enix has now started taking pre-orders for the game, which has a set release date of August 27, 2013. Though the game will be available as either a traditional box release or a digital download on the PS3PS4, or PC come August, if you act now you can get a special Collector’s Edition of the game via Square Enix’s online store.

The pre-order purchase is a bit pricey, coming in at a whopping $69.99, but the benefits that come with it are certainly enough to justify the price tag for die-hard fan’s of the series.

Along with gaining early access to the renewed version of Eorzea, a great perk in and of itself, gamers who purchase the Collector’s Edition of the FFXIV: AAR will also receive both the Cait Sith Doll Minion pet as well as Mog Cap digital in-game content.

If you’re a Triple F (Final Fantasy Fanboy), you’d be hard pressed to turn down the prospect of enjoying your time with the franchise’s newest installment with these neat additions at your disposal. The Collector’s Edition might not be for everyone, but for those brave enough (and with enough money) to take the plunge, it certainly promises to be well worth the investment.
