This December we get to relive Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded through the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix. Now Square Enix has released a new trailer showcasing some of the new content that we will experience in the new collection.
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix will add a wealth of new content. This includes bonus boss battles, such as fights against Roxas and Lingering Will. The game will feature a remastered soundtrack, with over 90 remastered tracks. The game will have new items, including keyblades, new gummi ship missions, and a secret movie that ties the game to Birth by Sleep. There will also be new playable episodes.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep will also feature new bosses, cut scenes, items and playable episodes. Birth by Sleep will also add new action and support abilities, new deck commands, and a new command style. Re:coded will feature a theatre mode, and cinematic cut scenes based off of some of the series’ favorite battles, including Data Sora vs. Data Riku.
I am glad to see all of this new content. I have been waiting to get my hands on the Final Mix versions of these games for a long time. It has been awhile since I have played these games, and I am sure it will be a pleasure to play the remixed versions. Hopefully it will help tide me over until we learn more about Kingdom Hearts 3.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will contain Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. The collection comes out on December 2 on the PlayStation 3. Anyone who preorders the collection will receive an upgrade to the limited edition for free.
