The co-creator of The Stanley Parable is out with a new game, and it’s just as weirdly addictive as the last one.
William Pugh of the new indie studio Crows Crows Crows released Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and the Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist on Steam this past week. The best part: it’s free to play for PC and Mac.
Just from the trailer, it’s clear that Dr. Langeskov follows a structure similar to that of The Stanley Parable, being a first person point and click adventure. It will also be heavily dependent on narration, as the player attempts to complete a high-stakes robbery of a large mansion, with a vicious tiger and other life-ending obstacles in the way.
Comedian Simon Amstell and Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland (who also voices the characters) serve as voice actors for the game.
The game’s Steam page states that it takes about 15 minutes to play – likely the reason it is free to play. Some news outlets like Desctructoid have quoted Pugh as saying that the game can take much longer, depending on the player’s specific choices.
Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and the Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist is now free to download on Steam.
