Since 2010, Star Trek Online has been a place for Trekkies to be the captain of their own ship. It wasn’t until last month that consoles were able to take control of a ship they can call their own.
Star Trek Online was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6 and received less than stellar reviews from critics and fans. To improve the game for players and ensure that the game is always in the best possible state, the developers have been doing weekly maintenance updates.
These updates include fixing:
- Targeting when aiming at friendly or enemy NPCs.
- Crashing issues
- Character Creation problems

The weekly maintenance updates happen on Thursday’s in the AM. If you wake up and see that the servers are down but you are in the mood to go “where no man has gone before,” you should pick up Star Trek Beyond which is available now on Digital HD and comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD on November 1st.
And if you don’t like the cover art for the movie, don’t you fret. The fine folks at the Star Trek Beyond booth at New York Comic Con let me create my own cover art for you guys to use.
