While most people have been spending their days wandering around the Wasteland of Fallout 4 recently, Blizzard managed to snag an impressive release this week with StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void. The third installment of the StarCraft II trilogy, following Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, sold over 1 million copies in the first 24 hours.

Blizzard proclaimed their happiness on Twitter and received a few hundred likes and retweets from supporters within minutes. But this release isn’t the last of the new content coming to StarCraft II. During the many announcements at BlizzCon, Blizzard revealed plans to release post-launch content in a series of single-player mission packs called Nova Covert Ops.

Blizzard doesn’t seem to be phased by all the other big name titles that are due out soon, and small wonder if they keep setting impressive sales like this.
But with Star Wars Battlefront, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Fallout 4, will Blizzard be able to keep player’s prolonged attention?
